Government to develop 31 draft laws in 2022

At the government session chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin, a draft Plan of legislative work of the Government for 2022 was considered.

Minister of Justice Marat Beketayev reported that the Government's Law Drafting Work Plan for 2022 provides for the development and submission of 31 bills to Parliament, of which 11 — in the first half of the year, 20 — in the second half of the year.

The bills are aimed at further development and regulation of the spheres of public service, heat and power engineering, health care, education, culture and sports, methods of countering the legalization of income and financing of terrorism, the development of agglomerations, improvement of civil and criminal legislation, etc.

It is planned to develop a "Social Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan" and five new laws: “On protection of consumer rights”, “On conformity assessment”, “On professional qualifications”, “On heat power engineering”, “On the development of agglomerations”.

The Head of Government instructed the first heads of state bodies to ensure the quality of bills and the timeliness of their submission to Parliament.
