Bagdat Mussin

He was born in 1983 in Pavlodar region.

In 2004, he graduated from Suleimen Demirel University with a degree in Computer Hardware and Software, in 2006 — from the Kazakh Institute of Law and International Relations with a degree in Law.

Until 2004, he worked in commercial structures.

In 2004-2007, he was a software engineer, head of the certification centers department, deputy director for Development of IT Departments in State Bodies of JSC National Information Technologies.

In 2004-2007, he was advisor-consultant on information technologies of JSC IC AMANAT-Insurance.

In 2007-2010, he was adviser to the Minister of Justice for Information Technology and Head of the Information Technology Department.

In 2010-2011, he was deputy director of the Department of State Policy in the Field of Information Technologies of the Ministry of Communications and Information.

In 2011-2014, he was deputy chair, chair of the Committee for Controlling the Automation of Public Services and Coordination of the Public Service Centers.

In various years, he headed the National Information Technologies JSC, Kazpost JSC, the Committee on Legal Statistics and Special Accounting of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2018-2019, he was deputy chair of the Management Board of the Bi Group Construction Holding and head of the corporate venture fund.

In 2019-2020, he was IT entrepreneur, co-founder of IT startups ReKassa, Tastamat, etc.

From March to July 2020, he was Adviser to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Digitalization and Innovative Technologies.

From July to September 2020, he was First Vice Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On Sep. 2, 2020, by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, he was appointed minister of digital development, innovation and aerospace industry.

On Jan. 18, 2021, by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, he was re-appointed as minister of digital development, innovation and aerospace industry.

April 4, 2023, by the Decree of the President, he was reappointed Minister of digital development, innovation and aerospace industry.

By the Decree of the Head of State he was appointed Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
