The delegation of the Ministry of Defense and Aerospace Industry headed by Deputy Minister Marat Nurguzhin is taking part in the second International Space Exploration Forum (ISEF) in Tokyo

Kazakhstan’s delegation took part the forum’s official opening ceremony, held by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan Yoshimasa Hayashi.

Within the framework of the Forum, the Ministry’s delegation, including the Vice-President of JSC “NC “Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary”, pilot-cosmonaut Aidyn Aimbetov, Director General of Ghalam JV Aibergen Ruslanuly, will hold a number of meetings with the heads of the space agencies of Russia, Ukraine, the UAE, KSA.

According to the head of the delegation Marat Nurguzhin, Kazakhstani specialists will take part in the session "Implementation of programs and projects in the field of space research", which will see the report of the Deputy Minister of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan on today's achievements of Kazcosmos and the prospects for the development of space activities in Kazakhstan.

Also, the Kazakh delegation will visit the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).

It has been revealed that more than 60 countries involved in space exploration are taking part in the Japanese space forum. Heads of space agencies will discuss issues of international cooperation in space exploration, and coordinate their actions in the framework of already implemented and promising space projects.

The decision to hold an international forum on space exploration was adopted in 2011 in Italy, since then the ISEF is one of the new world platforms for discussing topical issues of supporting global cooperation in space exploration.
