Today in Ukimet Uyi, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev met with Chairman of the Board of OMV Rainer Seele.

The meeting covered issues of cooperation with the company and the implementation of a number of joint investment projects in Kazakhstan.

For reference: OMV is one of the largest listing companies in Austria, the largest oil company in Central Europe. OMV owns a 36% stake in Borealis, a company which plans to produce polyethylene in Atyrau region.

Among the shareholders in OMV are: Mubadala (Abu Dhabi) - 24.9%, ÖBIB (Austrian state industrial holding) - 31.5% and 43.6% of shares are free float.

The company has been operating in Kazakhstan since 2004 and is a shareholder in Tasbulat Oil Corporation LLP (100%) and Kom-Munai LLP (95%, 5% are Kazakhstan partners), which in turn hold the rights on subsoil use in Aktas, Turkmenoy, Tasbolat and Komsomolskoye fields in Mangystau region.

The company's investments for the whole period amount to more than one billion dollars.
