On November 9, a meeting took place in Samarkand between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Kairat Abdrakhmanov and his Kyrgyz counterpart, Erlan Abdyldaev.

The interlocutors discussed topical aspects of regional and bilateral cooperation, challenges related to integration within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union.

The parties stressed the mutual interest in strengthening bilateral Kazakh-Kyrgyz relations and the need for an early resolution of the accumulated trade and economic issues.

The Ministers agreed to bolster contacts between the foreign services of the two countries.

K. Abdrakhmanov and E. Abdyldaev arrived in Samarkand to participate in the international conference on ensuring security and sustainable development in Central Asia and the latest dialogue "CA - European Union".
