Today, as part of his working visit to Karaganda region, Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev held a meeting with members of the Regional Council of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs Atameken, which discussed issues of developing small and medium business in the region.

The discussion saw participation of heads of central state bodies, Chairman of NNCE Atameken Ablay Myrzakhmetov, Director of the regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Karaganda region Yernar Kulpeissov, Director of Privatization Bureau LLP Alexander Perov, Director of ASPAP Industrial Complex Tolegen Ashimov, Head of Shygys household Shamil Ossin, Director General of Kazcenterelectroprovod LLP Sergey Kim, Director of the Association of Developers of Karaganda region Naylya Kairbekova, Director of Mgnitka Kazameta LLP Andrey Vitik.

The meeting discussed issues of abolishing the differential tariff for utilities, introducing the Eurocode system in place of outdated construction codes and rules (SNIP), payments of AIC investment subsidies, support of domestic producers in terms of reducing import customs duties on raw materials and compensating costs for transportation of goods through the territory of Kazakhstan. In addition, issues were raised concerning the relationship between monopolists and consumers and factors constraining business development.

The voiced issues were commented on by Minister of National Economy T. Suleimenov, Minister of Investments and Development Zh. Kassymbek, and Deputy Minister of Agriculture G. Issayeva.

Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev noted that the President of the country N. Nazarbayev put forward the task of developing entrepreneurship in Kazakhstan within the framework of forming a new model of economic growth in his Address " Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness". In this regard, the Government pays close attention to issues of business support.

Bakytzhan Sagintayev emphasized that the technological modernization carried out in the country gives wide opportunities for involving domestic entrepreneurs in creating new productions and products. At the same time, businessmen may take an active part in further developing such sectors of the economy as services and the economy of simple things. This, in turn, will create additional jobs for the potentially released workforce.

Summing up the meeting, Bakytzhan Sagintayev noted that the Government is always open to discuss issues of concern to the business community and urged entrepreneurs to take an active part in joint work to implement tasks within the framework of economic modernization.

The state bodies were instructed to take raised issues under control.
