Tashkent (Uzbekistan) hosted the meeting of First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan Marat Demeuov and First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan Davron Nazarmukhamedov on cross-border cooperation.

In addition, the event was attended by heads of structural subdivisions of the central offices of Ministries, border-adjacent regional internal affair bodies of the two states.

The sides discussed prospects and priority issues of bilateral cooperation, including in the border regions.

”The heads of delegations approved a plan for cooperation between the Department of Internal Affairs of South Kazakhstan region of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan and the Department of Internal Affairs of Jizzakh, Syrdarya and Tashkent regions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan on combating crime for 2017-2018, which provides for joint organizational and practical measures,” – the report says.
