Establishing roadblocks and restricting operation of facilities — Interdepartmental Commission took measures in Akmola region

The Chair of Interdepartmental Commission on Preventing the Spread of COVID-19, Deputy Prime Minister Yeraly Tugzhanov paid a working visit to the Akmola region.

The deputy prime minister held a meeting with the regional leadership on the epidemiological situation in the region, heard a report on the measures taken to ensure preparedness for the second wave of coronavirus infection.

The deputy prime minister noted that in the region in October 2020, the number of registered cases of COVID-19 increased by 2.7 times.

Yeraly Tugzhanov noted the need to improve the efficiency of monitoring groups for compliance with restrictive measures, in particular, in Kokshetau, Stepnogorsk and a number of districts. The deputy prime minister paid special attention to strengthening work on tracking contact persons and patients with COVID-19, as well as increasing the capacity of PCR laboratories.

In order to stabilize the epidemiological situation in the region, the chair of the Interdepartmental Commission instructed the regional akimat to take a number of restrictive measures from Nov. 9, 2020:

  • to establish checkpoints along the perimeter of Kokshetau;
  • to establish sanitary checkpoints in settlements where the daily increase will be more than 10 cases;
  • to reduce air traffic on the directions Kokshetau - Almaty, Kokshetau - Aktau from 2 to 1 flight per week;
  • to reduce railway transportation in the direction Kokshetau - Kyzylorda from 7 to 3 times a week;
  • to prohibit the stop inside the region of transit passenger trains (except for places determined by the regional akimat);
  • to suspend the activities of religious sites, theaters, cinemas, cultural facilities;
  • on weekdays, to limit the work of public catering facilities from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., provided that no more than 30 visitors stay at the same time, for facilities with less than 30 seats - no more than 50% of the design capacity, with a limitation of the operating mode;
  • on weekdays, to limit the work of trading houses, shopping centers, non-food stores with an area of ​​more than 500 m² from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.;
  • to restrict the movement of residents on the territory of settlements of the region from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., with the exception of workers who ensure the production process of strategic facilities and life support facilities;
  • recommend to persons over 65 years of age not to leave their place of residence unless absolutely necessary, with the exception of the purchase of food, essential goods, medicines and medical products;
  • to transfer at least 80% of employees to remote work;
  • to prohibit group meetings in person.

During the working trip, the deputy prime minister got acquainted with the work of the new modular infectious diseases hospital and other facilities implemented within the framework of the Employment Roadmap 2020.
