From April 20, 2020, several economic sectors to resume work in Nur-Sultan and Almaty

Prime Minister Askar Mamin chaired a regular meeting of the State Commission on Ensuring the State of Emergency under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Minister of Healthcare Yelzhan Birtanov reported on the sanitary-epidemiological situation in the country, the akims Altai Kulginov and Bakytzhan Sagintayev told about the situation in Nur-Sultan and Almaty, as well as the proposed measures to restore the work of business entities.

The State Commission, taking into account the position of the Ministry of Healthcare, on the basis of proposals from akims, decided to gradually resume the work of business entities in the cities of Nur-Sultan and Almaty, while maintaining strict sanitary and epidemiological measures.

In the first phase – from April 20, 2020, the work of industrial and construction enterprises, as well as certain sectors of the service will be resumed. A prerequisite for their functioning is strict compliance with sanitary and epidemiological standards.

A specific list of activities of enterprises that will resume work in Nur-Sultan and Almaty as part of stage I will be approved by the State Commission on April 15, 2020.

The Head of Government instructed to establish tight control over the provision of sanitary and epidemiological safety at facilities that will resume work, as well as compliance with the social distance of employees at workplaces.

The meeting participants also considered the issues of ensuring the operation of communication and Internet networks, the regulation of the export of oil products, etc.
