Prime Minister Askar Mamin instructs to intensify work on construction of Turkestan city

As part of his working trip to the Turkestan region, the Prime Minister Askar Mamin visited a number of facilities under construction, as well as familiarized himself with the plans for the construction of new buildings in the regional center.

The Prime Minister examined the construction sites of the regional akimat facilities, office buildings and departments in the administrative and business center of Turkestan. Foundation laying is planned for March 2019, as a whole the object is planned to be commissioned in April 2020. Mamin was told that in order to ensure construction with the necessary volume of domestic production materials, the region is planning to build a new plant for the production of fiber-reinforced concrete.

In addition, Mamin examined the construction of a media center, a congress hall, a sports complex. Here, the laying of the foundation of buildings has already started. The presented objects are distinguished by significant functionality, capacity and meet modern standards of architectural art.

After completing the inspection of the administrative facilities being built, Mamin stressed that all conditions were created for the timely execution of the instructions of the President, and instructed to strengthen the construction work, if necessary, to attract additional builders.

During a visit to the Turkistan – Zhana Qala residential district, Mamin familiarized himself with the start of housing construction under the Nurly Zher state program. The project will be implemented in stages: in 2019, 44 houses will be commissioned, in 2020 — 52. In general, 2,977 apartments will be available under the 7-20-25 program, as well as under the new program of credit housing, planned by the regional akimat, including housing solutions for large families. The Prime Minister outlined the need to study the prospects for expanding the volume of housing construction and introducing modern technologies to ensure comfortable living.

It should be noted that, in general, the construction volume in the region in January-February 2019 compared to the same period last year increased by 2.3 times.

The Prime Minister also inspected the sites where social infrastructure projects will be implemented, including in education and science. During a detour, construction sites for the Schoolchildren’s Palace and the regional scientific and universal library were inspected.

Particular attention is paid to the development of the city of Turkestan as a cultural and spiritual center of the Turkic world. In order to familiarize himself with the work being done, Mamin made a detour around the historical and cultural center of the city. The construction sites of the museum of Khoja Ahmed Yassawi, the visiting center of the historical and cultural reserve Hazret Sultan, the center Uly Dala Eli were visited. In addition, the Prime Minister was presented a conceptual master plan for the improvement of the settlement of Turkestan.

During the working visit, the Prime Minister got acquainted with the plans for the creation of tourism infrastructure and instructed to speed up the construction. In the city of Turkestan for the development of tourism, including domestic, it is planned to build a musical fountain, an amphitheater, a city park of culture and recreation with attractions.
