From producing to entering foreign markets: QazTrade to launch Export Acceleration Program in 2020

Deputy Chair of QazTrade Center for Trade Policy Development Assel Egemberdiyeva noted in an interview with PrimeMinister.kz thet QazTrade is currently developing and implementing the Export Acceleration Program.

This new support measure will be offered to exporters from next year.

This year we are developing a methodological basis, studying international experience. We have already studied the experience of Canada, Australia, the USA, which are advanced countries in implementing this program,” said Egemberdiyeva.

The export acceleration program should help exporters from production to entering foreign markets and concluding export contracts. QazTrade plans to attract international business consultants to train exporters in export and general economic activities.

In principle, international practice shows that the effect of the program is good. This will help us grow new exporters,” said Egemberdiyeva.

Today in Kazakhstan there are about 460 exporters. However, according to the deputy chair of QazTrade, Kazakhstan still has work to do.

We believe that the figure is small. Enterprises have enormous potential to enter foreign markets,” she said.

For reference: The Export Acceleration Program is a system of educational, financial and non-financial measures that are aimed at supporting and accelerating the development of export activities of companies, including those that did not previously export their products. During acceleration programs, participants can adapt to all complex processes of international trade, find business partners, conclude export contracts.
