Best Kazakhstani enterprises and entrepreneurs awarded on the Day of Industrialization

On the occasion of the Industrialization Day, a ceremony of awarding the winners of the Altyn Sapa Prize of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, winners of the Best Product of Kazakhstan competitions, Paryz, Altyn Oimaq, Business Kemeldіlіk, Іскер, Uly Dala Elі competitions was held at the Congress Center with the participation of Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Prime Minister Askar Mamin, members of the Government and leadership of Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs.

Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Beibut Atamkulov reported on the results of the second industrial five-year plan and plans for the implementation of the State Program for Industrial and Innovative Development for 2020-2025.

Over the years of the Program, a new industrial base has appeared in Kazakhstan, which has provided productive employment and economic stability in many regions of the country. Manufacturing enterprises produced products for 43 trillion tenge. In November, manufacturing for the first time in a month exceeded 1 trillion tenge. Labor productivity in the industry reached $35.3 thousand / person. The inflow of investment in fixed assets in the industry over this period exceeded 4.5 trillion tenge,” Atamkulov said.

Since 2015, Kazakhstani enterprises exported $70 billion worth of manufacturing products. Over 500 new industrial projects of the Industrialization Card with an investment volume of about 5 trillion tenge have been introduced.

The program brought the development of the main manufacturing industries to a new level.

In metallurgy, the volume of production output was increased 2.2 times, the transition was made from the production of base metals, intermediate products and semi-finished products to the production of finished products, including pipes, metal structures, disks and wire, etc.

During the second five-year period of industrialization in mechanical engineering, the volume of production increased 1.2 times to 1,033 billion tenge. The share of the automotive industry in mechanical engineering increased to 26%. The range of manufactured cars has been expanded. New types of products were mastered in the industry: such as information and communication equipment, modems, screw pumps, lighting devices and electrical distribution equipment, central air conditioners. The production of export-oriented refrigerated wagons has been launched.

Volumes of production in the chemical industry grew 1.7 times, the pharmaceutical industry – 2 times, light industry – 1.6 times.

The main priority of SPIID for 2020-2025 will be the development of industrial entrepreneurship, aimed at expanding the range of exports of high-tech products, as well as the introduction of digital technologies and innovations in production that contribute to the growth of labor productivity.

The State Program focuses on efficient enterprises in the manufacturing sector, focused on saturating the domestic market with quality products and exporting. The transition from disparate instruments of state support to a system of comprehensive development stimulation, the adoption of reciprocal obligations and responsibilities by business, the transition from an industry principle to the identification of specific priority goods are provided for.

Implementation of the Program will increase labor productivity in the manufacturing industry to $56 thousand / person, export volume – up to $30 billion, investment in fixed assets – up to 9.3 trillion tenge.
