Tugzhanov in Mangystau region: Meeting with medical workers and checking warehouses of SK-Pharmacy

On behalf of the Head of State, Deputy Prime Minister Yeraly Tugzhanov arrived in Mangystau region to inspect the epidemiological situation in the regions. During the trip, the deputy prime minister inspected a number of medical institutions, met with healthcare workers and examined the warehouses of SK-Pharmacy LLP for the presence of stocks of medicines.

During the inspection of the warehouses of SK-Pharmacy LLP, a deficit of the monthly stock of two types of drugs required for the treatment of CVI and pneumonia — dexamethasone and prednisolone — was revealed. To resolve this issue, SK-Pharmacy LLP was instructed, together with the Akimat of the Mangystau region, to audit the shipped medicines in medical institutions, as well as to provide the necessary stock of medicines as soon as possible.

The government delegation also got acquainted with the living conditions of medical workers in one of the Aktau hotels. Today the hotel accommodates specialists, including 11 military doctors seconded from other regions.

During the meeting, the doctors spoke about the living and working conditions, as well as the steady reduction in the workload in hospitals due to the introduced quarantine measures in the region. The deputy prime minister expressed his gratitude to the doctors for their tireless work on the front line against the pandemic.

It should be noted that 47 specialists were involved in the region to fight COVID-19. Doctors work in two shifts, within the framework of quarantine measures they live locally in 15 hotels, are provided with everything necessary, including personal protective equipment.

Earlier, Tugzhanov visited the Kyzylorda region, where he held an operational meeting and inspected regional medical institutions and pharmacies.
