Berdibek Saparbayev inspects sports and medical facilities in the capital

To implementation of the instructions of the President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Deputy Prime Minister Berdibek Saparbayev visited a number of sports and medical facilities in Nur-Sultan.

The vice premier’s work tour began with a visit to the city’s oldest medical facility, the central railway hospital, the buildings of which were built 60 years ago and were very dilapidated. During this time, the hospital has never been overhauled. At the same time, the medical facility serves one of the most densely populated areas of the capital — Saryarka district.

Akimat and the Ministry of Health are planning to solve this problem by building a new medical complex with 600 beds. A plot of future construction has been identified. To implement a public-private partnership project, it is planned to attract an investor from Turkey.

The deputy prime minister also visited the Multidisciplinary Medical Center, which provides highly specialized care in the treatment of cancer. In the oncology center over the previous years, a debt to IC Pharmacia in the amount of 1.3 billion tenge was formed. A special commission has been set up to resolve this situation.

The deputy prime minister instructed the responsible government agencies to provide the full medical center with the necessary drugs for the treatment of patients.

In addition, Berdibek Saparbayev visited the sports complex “Kazakhstan” and the specialized children and youth school of the Olympic reserve “Tolkyn.”

Kazakhstan sports complex was built in 2001, a major overhaul is required. Today the ice arena is functioning, but the pool is closed due to accident rate. In general, the facility requires complete modernization. As part of a public-private partnership, it is planned to attract a foreign investor. Today the necessary procedures are carried out. Work will begin next year. It is planned to complete the construction in 2023,” Bakhtiyar Maken, deputy akim of the capital, informed.

According to the results of the work tour, Berdibek Saparbayev set a number of tasks for the Ministry of Health and the city akimat, stressing that the implementation of the instructions of the Head of State is under special control of the Government.

Note that the Head of State at a recent meeting on the development of the capital gave a number of instructions to increase the availability of sports facilities and improve the quality of medical services.
