Askar Mamin's trip to Akmola region: Infrastructure, agro-industrial complex, industry and tourism

As part of his working trip to Akmola region, Prime Minister Askar Mamin got acquainted with the socio-economic development of the region.

In Stepnogorsk, the Head of Government visited the enterprises of the agro-industrial sector, the chemical industry and the mining and metallurgical complex — Greenhouse Technologies of Kazakhstan, the bearing plant EPK Stepnogorsk, the plant Astana-Nan Chemicals for the production of pesticides, Stepnogorsk Mining and Chemical Combine, Kazakhaltyn Technology and Aksu Technology.

In Kokshetau, the prime minister examined a modular infectious diseases hospital with 200 beds, ambulances delivered to the region and mobile medical complexes of domestic assembly. The head of government was informed about the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the region and preparatory measures for a new wave of coronavirus infection.

Mamin got acquainted with the progress of construction of social, housing and transport infrastructure of the city, ongoing and promising investment projects, as well as preparations for the upcoming Forum of Interregional Cooperation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation in November 2020.

The backbone sectors of the economy of Kokshetau are mechanical engineering, construction, food and light industry, transport and logistics services. For 9 months of this year, the volume of industrial production in the city increased by 41.4% to 108.1 billion tenge, the volume of investments — 1.7 times to 49.8 billion tenge, construction work — 1.9 times to 25.9 billion tenge.

In Shchuchinsk, Burabay region, the prime minister visited the IQanat High School of Burabay and held a meeting on the development of tourist infrastructure in Burabay.

The head of government emphasized the need to complete all planned activities within the framework of the Development Plan for the Shchuchinsk-Burabay resort zone for 2012-2020, as well as to intensify work on the implementation of the State Program for the Development of the Tourism Industry.

For 9 months of this year, the volume of gross agricultural output in the Akmola region increased by 18.1% to 509.7 billion tenge, industrial production — by 6.8% to 732 billion tenge, investment in fixed assets — by 23% to 297.6 billion tenge.
