Askar Mamin instructs to strengthen epidemiological control at state border

At the government session chaired by Prime Minister Askar Mamin, the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the country was considered.

Minister of Healthcare Alexey Tsoy, akims of the North Kazakhstan region Kumar Aksakalov, Akmola region — Yermek Marzhikpayev, Nur-Sultan — Altay Kulginov presented their reports.

The sanitary and epidemiological situation in Kazakhstan is under control. The reproductive index of the virus is 0.96. The workload of infectious beds is 37%, resuscitation beds — 30%.

Zhambyl, Mangystau, Turkistan, Aktobe, West Kazakhstan, Atyrau, Almaty regions and Shymkent are in the green zone in terms of the spread of coronavirus infection, in the yellow zone are the cities of Nur-Sultan and Almaty, Karaganda, Kyzylorda and East Kazakhstan region. Kostanay, Pavlodar, Akmola and North Kazakhstan regions remain in the red zone.

To date, more than 8.2 million people have been vaccinated with the first component of the coronavirus vaccine, over 7.4 million people — with the second component.

In connection with the complication of the sanitary and epidemiological situation in neighboring countries, the Head of Government instructed the Ministry of Healthcare to strengthen epidemiological control at the state border.

Akims of the regions, especially the border regions, were instructed to ensure strict compliance with sanitary and epidemiological standards, monitor the level of morbidity and take operational measures, as well as intensify the work of monitoring groups.

Akims of Mangystau, West Kazakhstan, Kostanay, Akmola regions and the city of Nur-Sultan were instructed to increase the rate of vaccination against coronavirus.

Ministries of Healthcare, Information and Social Development have been instructed to continue educating the population about the importance of vaccination and revaccination, that the only way to maintain health is to get a vaccine against coronavirus.
