At the government session chaired by the Prime Minister Askar Mamin, the epidemiological situation in the country was considered. Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Beibut Atamkulov reported on the measures taken for the production of personal protective equipment, medical technology and equipment in the republic.
Production of medical masks
Domestic enterprises produce 900 thousand masks every day. There are 15 million masks in warehouses, of which 10 million will be supplied by SK-Pharmacy LLP. Businesses are ready to ship goods.
Production of medical gloves
About 330 thousand pairs of gloves are produced daily. There are over 7 million pairs in our warehouses. In November 2020, capacities will be increased to 530 thousand pairs per day.
Production of protective suits
Six domestic companies today produce 504 thousand protective suits per month. By the end of the year, the capacity will be increased to 1 million.
Lung ventilation equipment
‘’129 ventilators were delivered to medical institutions of Nur-Sultan. There are 1,190 ventilators in production and on bench tests, of which 181 are ready for shipment. From Oct. 1, 2020, delivery to Almaty and Shymkent is planned. The remaining devices until Oct. 10, 2020, will be delivered to 297 hospitals in 17 regions of Kazakhstan,” Atamkulov said.
360 ambulances were produced at the factories of Kazakhstan, of which 93 were delivered to the regions of the country — Almaty, Nur-Sultan, North Kazakhstan region, Kostanay. The delivery of the remaining 264 will begin today. In general, within the framework of this program, 1,167 ambulance vehicles will be delivered by Nov. 5.
Mobile medical complexes
Twelve units of secondary equipment have been manufactured today. Deliveries to the regions will begin on Oct. 1. The first batch of 10 units will go to Kostanay. In general, the manufacturer will ensure the delivery of all mobile medical complexes by Oct. 15, 2020.
Purchase of 53 X-ray machines
‘’Local executive bodies signed contracts with JSC Aktyubrentgen for the production of 49 units of X-ray machines. Also, work is underway to conclude contracts for another 4 with 2 regions. The first 20 devices will be delivered to Kostanay and Aktobe in early October. The delivery of the remaining devices will be completed by October 30, 2020,” said the minister.
Thirty-three companies in the country's pharmaceutical industry produce 922 names of medicines in the amount of 3.9 billion tablets and capsules per year. In the event of a second wave of a pandemic, pharmaceutical companies are ready to provide the required amount of medicines.
