From 2021, it is planned to develop three new draft laws — Ministry of Justice

At a government session chaired by Prime Minister Askar Mamin, Minister of Justice Marat Beketayev presented the government's Plan of Legislative Work for 2021.

The Ministry of Justice, together with members of the Interdepartmental Commission on Legislative Activities, has drawn up a draft Plan of Legislative Activities of the Government for 2021.

The draft Plan was formed on the basis of the tasks determined by the President and strategic documents of the state, and provides for the development of 19 bills.

“They are aimed at further improvement of regulation and development of the insurance market and the securities market, exchange trading, transport, development of land relations, anti-corruption, law enforcement, geodesy, cartography, volunteerism and charity, innovative and scientific and technological development, biological safety and others,” the minister said.

In 2021, it is planned to develop three new draft laws. These are bills "On Geodesy, Cartography and Spatial Data", "On the Bodies of the Military Police" and "On the Biological Safety of the Republic of Kazakhstan.’’

In addition, in the coming year, two draft laws will be developed and submitted to Parliament, arising from the National Action Plan for the implementation of the President's Address of Sep. 1, 2020 "Kazakhstan in a New Reality: Time for Action.»

These are bills "On Amendments and Additions to Some Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the Development and Improvement of Exchange Trading" and "On Amendments and Additions to Some Legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Anti-Corruption Issues.’’

Of the 19 bills provided by the draft Plan in the first half of 2021, it is planned to submit 5 to the Parliament, and 14 bills in the second half.

In accordance with the Law "On Legal Acts", the draft Plan is subject to approval by the Head of State. It is proposed to send the draft Plan to the Presidential Administration.
