Prime Minister Askar Mamin and President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian discuss prospects for developing trade and economic cooperation

Prime Minister Askar Mamin held talks with President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian, who arrived in Nur-Sultan to participate in the XII Astana Economic Forum.

During the conversation, topical issues of Kazakh-Armenian relations in the economic sphere, prospects for expanding and deepening mutually beneficial cooperation, including within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, were discussed.

As noted by the parties, a serious impetus to the interaction will be given by strengthening the work of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation. Analysis of the countries' markets showed the potential for further increase in mutual deliveries and expansion of trade in the fields of the chemical industry, engineering, and agriculture.

Armenian President Armen Sarkissian said that the areas of digitalization in terms of the development of artificial intelligence, energy, logistics, aviation, space industry, agro-industrial complex, environmental protection, education and tourism are of particular interest for deepening bilateral relations.

In turn, the Head of the Government Mamin expressed interest in the development of a full-fledged format of economic relations, increasing the volume of trade and investment cooperation.
