During the meeting, the Head of State heard the information about the current state of the country's Armed Forces, as well as the priority areas for their further development, the press service of Akorda reports.

Nurlan Yermekbayev informed the President of Kazakhstan on measures being taken to increase the level of combat training, to provide the Army with weapons and to address issues of social security for servicemen. In addition, the Defence Minister has focused on the activities of the Kazakh contingent as part of peace-support missions.

Nursultan Nazarbayev gave a number of specific instructions at the end of the meeting.
