Bakytzhan Sagintayev discusses prospects for further cooperation in oil and gas industry with Citigroup representatives

September 27 in Ukimet Uyi the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev met with representatives of Citigroup, headed by Ken Robins, head of the Equity Capital Markets for EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa).

At the meeting, the prospects for further cooperation in the oil and gas industry, the company's participation in the privatization program, as well as the priority areas of interaction with the Kazakh enterprises were considered.

Citigroup was represented at the meeting by board member, Chairman of the Board of Citibank Kazakhstan Andrey Kurilin and Head of Corporate and Investment Banking for Eastern and Central Europe, the Middle East and Africa Irackly Mtibelishvily.

Citigroup has been working in Kazakhstan since 1993, when the representative office of the Citibank, N.A. was established in Almaty. The main activity of the bank is corporate financing and operational servicing of leading Kazakhstani enterprises, financial institutions and branches of international companies. Priority industries for business are: oil and gas, energy, agro-industrial sectors, as well as mining and telecommunications.
