Bakytzhan Sagintayev holds a meeting on digitization of industrial sphere and energy sector

September 25 in Ukimet Uyi the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev held a meeting of the Commission under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the issues of introduction of digitalization.

At the meeting, development of digitalization in the industry and fuel and energy sector of the country were discussed.

Ministers for Investments and Development of Zhenis Kassymbek and Energy Kanat Bozumbayev made reports on the work in these directions.

The speakers outlined the main directions of digital development by industry, the algorithm of actions for the implementation of projects in the regions, told about the technologies used and the expected effects. In particular, plans were presented for the creation of an industry portal for the Industry 4.0 platform based on the Astana Hub, the development of the IT infrastructure, domestic research institutes, intellectual deposits and digital mines. Particular attention was paid to the system approach to the training of qualified IT professionals.

Following the meeting, Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev instructed the Ministries of Investment and Development, Energy to step up work on the timely implementation of the activities of the State Program Digital Kazakhstan.

In industry, the transition from the current level of technological development, the so-called standardized production (semiautomation of processes) to the level of transparent production (management of digital flows, which means digitizing all production data) is expected, with the subsequent transition to the level of smart production (cyberphysical processes with human-robot interaction).

In the sphere of digitalization of the system-forming enterprises of the mining industry, up to 2025, 14 projects are planned for 142.8 billion tenge. The economic effect from their realization is expected at the level of 239.8 billion tenge (GVA) until 2025. Six system-forming enterprises of the mining and metallurgical industry are being monitored. It is planned to create 522 new jobs.

In the manufacturing industry in 2018, a project is being implemented to create model digital factories that will help popularize digital technologies, demonstrate the effects of digitalization, identify barriers to digitization and develop government support tools. The project involved seven companies in industries. In regions before 2022 digital solutions are planned to be introduced at 58 enterprises (about 80 digitalization projects), of which in 2018, at 33 enterprises.

In the energy sector, projects are underway on the intellectual deposit (JSC KazMunaiGas), the maintenance system at the refinery (JSC KazMunaiGas), the digital mine (JSC Kazatomprom), the mode management automation at the Unified Electricity System (KEGOC JSC), a unified state system for the protection of the environment and natural resources (Ministry of Energy, the Unified State System for Subsoil Use Management in the modules "Online Auction for Fields", "Forecast-Balance of Liquefied Petroleum Products."

The Digital Kazakhstan state program defines a number of significant indicators in the industry, the energy complex, which should be achieved by 2022. The growth of labor productivity in the sections "Mining and Quarrying" in 2022 — 38.9%, "Transport and Warehousing" in 2022 — 21.2%, "Manufacturing Industry" in 2022 — 49.8% .
