Bakytzhan Sagintayev meets with the British Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Alan Duncan

Today in Ukimet Uyi Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev met with the State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Great Britain Alan Duncan.

During the meeting, issues of strengthening bilateral cooperation in trade and economy, legal, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as in the field of transport, transit and civil aviation were discussed.

Diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Great Britain were established on January 19, 1992.

The United Kingdom is on the 6th place in terms of accumulated direct investment in the Republic of Kazakhstan ($12.27 billion) and the 14th place in terms of mutual trade.

Since the beginning of the year, the volume of mutual trade amounted to $647.4 million, which is 16% higher than in 2016 ($543.6 million).

More than 800 legal entities, branches and representative offices with British participation are registered in Kazakhstan. Since 2005, gross inflow of direct investments from Great Britain to Kazakhstan amounted to $12 278.2 billion.
