The Sacral Map of Kazakhstan includes 100 objects of cultural heritage

The Head of the "Sacred Kazakhstan" Research Center, the candidate of political sciences Berik Abdygaliuly told PrimeMinister.kz about the results of 100 days of work on the Sacral Map of Kazakhstan.

Berik Abdygaliuly recalled that the Sacred Kazakhstan Research Center was established on May 15, 2017. At the same time, regional commissions for the identification of sacred sites were formed in all regions. The task of the Center includes expert and methodological support of projects. The working group headed by the Minister of Culture and Sports Arystanbek Mukhamediuly is engaged in determining the value of the objects.

"About 1000 lists arrived from the regions, according to the recommendations we developed. To date, the decision of the expert council, which was created from among the leading scientists and public figures, about 100 national and 500 regional cultural heritage sites were identified," B. Abdygaliuly said.

Also, according to him, in September the republican expedition "Sacred Kazakhstan" with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports is planned in the regions of the country. During the expedition, scientists together with local historians will document each sacred object, record legends about them, which are of no less value.

"In fact, people have identified these places long ago. Our task is to create a unified network of sacred places. Sacral and spiritual values are important to us. They play a very important role of educational nature. The task in the future is to widely publicize them. People should understand what values they bear," B. Abdygaliuly added.
