The event was organized by the Institute of Eurasian Integration. The purpose of the conference was to discuss a wide range of issues on actual themes of modernization of Kazakhstan.

 

The conference was attended by over 100 people, including well-known scientists Z. Shaukenova, Z. Kabuldinov, B. Abdigaliuly and others, representatives of the expert-analytical community in Kazakhstan and abroad, professors and teachers of higher educational institutions.

The Deputy Head of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Babakumarov gave a welcoming speech to the participants, he noted that the Program article of Nursultan Nazarbayev "Bolashakka Bagdar: Ruhani Zhangyru", which has received wide publicity and support, is a profound document on a national scale and requires a special approach to Its implementation.

"Never before in the history of Independent Kazakhstan the nation faced such a deep and large-scale task as the modernization of consciousness. "Ruhani Zhangyru" is an ideological platform designed to become the basis for a qualitative transformation of all spheres of the state. The desire for renewal today is tantamount to national-state self-preservation and qualitative development," Y. Babakumarov emphasized.

The moderator of the conference - Director of the Institute of Eurasian Integration Gani Nygymetov announced some preliminary results of sociological research conducted by the Institute.

"As studies show, favorable conditions are being made to implement the measures within the framework of the Third Modernization. In public opinion, there is a high level of reformist sentiment. About 82% of Kazakhstanis consider changes in the country's life are more or less necessary. At the same time, the support for the existing socio-political course of development is quite high - 88%.

Sociological studies show that the tasks of modernization, affecting the socio-cultural aspects of the development of Kazakhstan's society and constitutional changes, find support among Kazakhstanis," said G. Nygymetov.

During the conference, a constructive dialogue between representatives of the responsible government agencies, scientific and expert community was held to discuss the implementation of the key areas of the Program "Ruhani Zhangyru" and constitutional reform.

The participants of the meeting noted the importance of the work of the dialogue platform for wide coverage and explanation among the population of the work carried out within the framework of the modernization program of public consciousness.
