During the meeting, the Head of the State was informed about the development of “Digital Kazakhstan” state program. This was reported by the press service of Akorda.

Nursultan Nazarbayev brought into focus the relevance of large-scale digitalization of the economy in the face of growing global competition.

"At present this issue has top priority. The entire world is moving in this direction. And we must not be slow. This is a monumental challenge. Concerted efforts of all departments, ministries and regions are needed," the President of Kazakhstan said.

The Minister of Information and Communications told the Head of the State about the four priority areas identified in the new program.

"We have recently discussed the draft program with all interested parties. "Digital Kazakhstan" program envisages four main directions of work: development of infrastructure, improvement of human capital, digitization of economic sectors and improvement of the system of public service provision," D. Abayev said.

In conclusion, the President of Kazakhstan has given a number of specific instructions.
