The main events of the week from 7 to 13 August 2017

• On August 7 the Head of State N.Nazarbayev held a meeting with Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan B.Sagintayev in Akorda. During the meeting, the President was presented with a report on the activities of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 7 months of this year. Nursultan Nazarbayev noted the positive dynamics of the country's economic development indicators and stressed the importance of further implementation of state and sector programs.

• Also, this week Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan B. Sagintayev met with Prime Minister of Belarus A. Kobyakov, who arrived in Kazakhstan on a working visit. The sides discussed issues of further trade and economic cooperation between the countries.

• A ceremony of signing a number of Kazakhstan-Belarus bilateral agreements took place in Ukimet Uyi. Among them are cooperation in the field of exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes, cooperation between the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan and the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and others.

• The Prime Ministers of the two countries jointly visited the exhibition of Belarusian exporters “Made in Belarus”, took part in the meeting of the Kazakh-Belarusian business forum. At the EXPO-2017 exhibition, B. Sagintayev and A. Kobyakov held the opening ceremony of the National Day of the Republic of Belarus.

• On the same day, Bakytzhan Sagintayev met with Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic S. Jeenbekov, who arrived in Astana to attend the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.

• On Tuesday, April 8, during the regular meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan B. Sagintayev, the issues on the implementation of the Program for Productive Employment and Mass Entrepreneurship for 2017-2021 and the Single Business Support and Development Program "Business Road Map 2020" were considered.
