During the meeting, the Head of the State has been presented the National Bank’s Report on the results of activities to improve the country’s financial sector. This was reported by the press service of Akorda.

The President of Kazakhstan noted that the policy of a freely floating exchange rate of the national currency keeps working and highlighted the National Bank’s task to prevent inflation.

Daniyar Akishev has also reported to Nursultan Nazarbayev about the current situation in the currency and financial markets.

"The situation as a whole is stable. The exchange rate after the fluctuations in early August, which took place under the influence of certain factors, both internal and external, has now hardened. There is no occasion for alarm," the Chairman of the National Bank informed.

The Head of the State has given a number of instructions at the end of the meeting.
