Sargsyan, Chairman of the Board Eurasian Economic Commission have participated in the meeting.
The Head of the State greeted the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council members in the capital of Kazakhstan, noting that the time of the meeting had successfully coincided with the work of the international exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana.
"The heads of government have a good opportunity to visit their national pavilions, as well as exhibition expositions of Kazakhstan and other countries. I would like to note that the Eurasian Economic Union has already been working for the third year, and that period is conditioned by the difficult situation both in the world and in the national economies of the EEU member countries. The main factor is creation of a common market, a single economic structure," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
The President of Kazakhstan has underscored that the economic upswing is directly reflected on the commodity turnover increase and the improvement of relations between countries.
"I think that we are headed down the correct development path all the time. Despite the current issues, we need to strengthen our Eurasian Economic Union. Now we have a task to ensure that our internal issues, the relations between our countries, develop in the future. The major role in this work is assigned to the governments: solving economic problems and settling issues of interaction between states," the Head of the State summed up.
Winding up the meeting Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that today's sitting would make a significant contribution to the Organization’s further development, and wished fruitful work to the participants.
