Today Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev awarded medals to participants
Open Championship of Kazakhstan in triathlon.

The championship was the first large-scale event on triathlon in Kazakhstan. Tritalon, as a multi-sport race, contributes to the formation of right trends in a society, that is, popularizing a healthy lifestyle.
 
About 200 professionals and sports fans took part in the three-stage race at the Half-Iron distance: 1.9 km of swimming, 90 km of cycling, 21 km of running.
 
Bakytzhan Sagintayev presented medals to the Olympic champion, General Manager of the Astana cycling team Alexander Vinokurov, Vice President of the Kazakhstan Triathlon Federation, Head of the BI Group Holding Aydin Rahimbaev, and to the first female participating in the race, Nagima Kerimbayeva.

The competitions became part of the Comprehensive program of cultural and entertainment sports events of the international specialized exhibition "EXPO-2017".
 
Earlier, the Chairman of the NSC RK and the President of the Triathlon Federation, Karim Massimov announced the holding of competitions under the aegis of Ironman in Astana next year. The agreement to hold the Ironman series in Astana was signed with the World Triathlon Corporation.
