Over the first half of this year "Government for Citizens" provided more than 21 million services

This was announced today by the Minister of Information and Communications Dauren Abayev at the press center of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan as part of the press conference on the implementation of the fifth direction "Formation of the Accountable State" of the "100 Concrete Steps".

Within the framework of the implementation of the 100th step of the Nation’s Plan in 2016, the State Corporation "Government for Citizens" was created, through which out of 723 state services 548 or 76% can be obtained. This figure is planned to be increased to 85% in the work of the Interdepartmental Commission for the selection of public services.

The structure of the State Corporation unites about 350 front-offices across the country, employing more than 20 thousand employees, providing over 37 million services annually.

Over the first half of this year, "Government for Citizens" provided more than 21 million services, including more than 14 million - in electronic format.

The development of specialized centers for the registration of vehicles and the issuance of driving permits is provided. To date, 12 Special Centers are open and functioning.

During the first half of the year, more than 172 thousand driving licenses were issued by the Special Centers for public service, more than 700 thousand services were provided for setting and decommissioning motor vehicles.

Particular attention is paid to the creation of a barrier-free environment for people with disabilities: front-offices are equipped with ramps, call buttons, lifting mechanisms, and work is being done to equip the tactile tablets for the visually impaired. Persons with disabilities were provided with 25 thousand services with a home visit.

"Today there are 469 people with disabilities at different positions in the State Corporation, and work on further employment of this category of citizens will continue," D. Abayev said.

In addition, 70 mobile departments of the State Corporation on specially equipped transport rendered more than 298 thousand services in remote settlements for the first half of the year. With the same purpose in conjunction with Kazpost, a pilot project is being implemented to provide government services through the offices of the National Postal Operator.
