Murat Zhurebekov appointed first vice minister of energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan

 

By the resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Zhurebekov Murat Utemisovich was appointed first vice minister of energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This was reported by the Press Service of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Murat Zhurebekov was born in 1978 in the Aktobe region. He graduated from Zhubanov Aktobe State University, Kazakhstan Institute of Management, Economics and Forecasting (KIMEP), Strathclyde University (Scotland), Harvard Business School with a degree in Executive Management Program (USA).

In 2001-2002, he was a chief specialist in Budget Control, Department for the Karachaganak Project, KazTransGas CJSC.

In 2002-2004, he was the manager of the Department of Economics and Budget Planning, CJSC Intergas Central Asia.

In 2004-2005, he was a specialist in the technical group of the Authority in Agip KCO, London.

In 2005-2010, he was deputy director of the North Caspian Project Department of JSC NC KazMunayGas.

In 2010-2017, he worked at PSA LLP. He served as director of the Department for Contract Monitoring and Marketing; Managing Director for Business Development and Local Content; Managing Director for Economics, Finance, Audit and Budget.

In 2017-2019, he was general director of PSA LLP (Plenipotentiary body of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan in oil and gas PSA projects).

Since July 2019, he has been vice minister of energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
