Askar Zhambakin appointed vice minister of digital development, innovation and aerospace industry

By Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Zhambakin Askar Serikovich was appointed vice minister of digital development, innovation and aerospace industry of Kazakhstan. This was reported by the Press Service of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Askar Zhambakin was born in 1985 in Almaty. In 2007, he graduated from the Almaty Institute of Energy and Communications, in 2009 — from the University of Manchester.

He began his career in 2003 as a communications technician of the first category of a communications center at Air Kazakhstan CJSC.

In 2010-2011, he was head of the department for corporate systems, officer for direct marketing of JSC HSBC Bank Kazakhstan.

In 2011-2014, he worked at the Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC as the head of the Methodology and Business Processes Department, the director of the Business Processes and Corporate Development Departments.

In 2014-2016, he was deputy director of the Department of Management and Development of Payment Systems of the National Bank of Kazakhstan.

In 2016-2017, he was deputy director, director of Department at Kazkommertsbank JSC.

In 2017-2018, he was program manager of the project office, advisor to the chair of the board of Zerde National ICT Holding.

From May 2018 to the present, he has held executive positions in commercial organizations.
